Introducing: "To my {future} daughter" posts...

I've decided to write to my future daughters. It may seem kind of silly but I've been thinking about all of the experiences I've had with boys, school, work, friends, etc and I don't want to forget them, let alone let the lessons I've learned be forgotten.
So, to my sweet, sweet daughter(s) I hope you find these experiences useful as you grow and develop into the beautiful people I know you will be.

To my daughter(s),
Utah State University was the best decision I ever made. With so many amazing colleges around, it was hard to decide where I was going to devote the next four years of my life. I did a lot of research, a lot of thinking, and a lot of praying. One day, a couple weeks after I had graduated high school, I was driving around and somehow ended up driving up 5th North. This is the street that looks up at Utah State at the bottom of Old Main Hill. I had been thinking about where I wanted to go to college but I was still in the "clueless" stage. Which you will find yourself in a lot. By this time the sun was setting and the streets were empty. It was just me and Old Main in all its glory. As I drove, I looked up at the "A" which was beaming with its florescent white light. It was at that moment that I felt a peaceful feeling come over me. My prayers were answered and I knew it.
Everyday I am reassured that this is where I'm supposed to be at this time in my life. I've met a lot of incredible people and have had the opportunity to be on student government during my last year (that's a story for another day). It's crazy to look back at all of the experiences I've had. Not one would I change.
So when you're ready to make this important decision, put Utah State on top of your list? Maybe I'm a little biased but I promise that you will love being an Aggie too.
