BABY DREW

...and here's our baby!
a few days old.
haha i realize i haven't blogged since sept of last year. oops! we have been very busy over here welcoming and loving our baby boy. at 5 1/2 months he is the happiest, most patient baby i've ever seen. he loves to giggle and smiles with his eyes. he learned how to roll from back to tummy and we're working on tummy to back now. we are raising him to be bilingual so i speak spanish to him all day everyday! he loves to read books and wrestle with his penguin. this boy looooves food! holy cow, he will eat anything we give him. he has brought so much happiness into our home, we thought we were happy before, but now woah. happy. he is content if anyone holds him as long as there's milk involved haha. we kiss those squishy cheeks all day and basically everything he does is the cutest! aah we're those parents... but we can't help it, we feel so blessed to have him forever. we got family pictures done a few weeks ago and dani captured sweet moments of our family.

a few more pics that i've snapped here and there...
this ball must come with us everywhere.

WE'RE HAVING A BABY!

it's true! we are so excited to finally share our good news with everyone! we still can't really believe it haha and other than being sick and super tired, you wouldn't be able to tell physically. i do get a belly after i eat a big meal and it is definitely growing! i can't button up my jeans anymore! so many changes are happening in our lives but change is good and we can not wait to hold our little babe in our arms. here is a little bumpdate: week 12.

How Far Along? 12 1/2 weeks Weight Gain: not yet Maternity Clothes? i'm going to try and wear my regular clothes for as long as i can, but like i said, i can't button up my jeans anymore! Sleep? ok. i get up to go to the bathroom around 4 a.m and then 8:30 a.m  Best moment this week? hearing the heartbeat and sharing our good news with our family and friends!! Weird pregnancy moment? hormones! Movement: not yet!  Food Cravings: french fries and frozen fruit Anything making you queasy? for the first two months, any smell would get me.  Gender: we won't know till november! What I'm looking forward to: finally getting a cute pregnant belly!

SAN FRANCISCO

luke and i went on a vacation to visit my sister, bro-in law and the little nugget growing inside my sissy. san francisco is beautiful. it is lively and full of ups and downs- streets i mean! we spent a lot of time walking the streets of san francisco and figuring out the transportation system, not to mention sampling chocolate at ghirardelli square! one of my favorite parts of the trip was feeling my lil nephew kicking inside monica's belly. can i live closer to her, please?? thanks g and monica for having us and showing us around the city!

WEDDING DAY

Our wedding day was lovely and perfect! The whole time leading up to the wedding we prayed for good weather and we were blessed with the most gorgeous day in March. Luke and I got married on March 8th in the Logan, Utah Temple, our hometown Temple. I started the day with hair and makeup while my sweet Luke slept a little longer :). Lucky for the guys they don't have to deal with all of the hussle and bussle of bobby pins and hair spray! Finally, I was ready and 15 minutes late...of course! We met in front of the Temple with our families and seeing Luke for the first time that day was so special. He was about to be all mine. Giddy, I tell ya! I'm incredibly greatful for Temple ordinances that make it possible for us to be with our families forever. Learn more about Latter-Day Saint Temples here. A big thank you to our families and friends for making our day so special. We love you. And thank you to our wonderful photographer Britt Cascio for capturing our day so perfectly. Now I'll let the pictures do the talking...

NINJA CHOP

A few weeks ago I introduced Luke to FRUIT NINJA and needless to say he LOVED it. Yesterday we were hanging out and so confidently he says to me "I want to play Ninja Chop!". I died. It was hilarious and I wish you could have seen his eyes light up when I downloaded it on his iPod. Haha, this boy cracks me up!

WE'LL BE JUST FINE

This post is mostly for my momma. To show her that even though we planned many cooking sessions and I always backed out on them, I still managed to learn something! And also we haven't cooked frozen pizza...yet! But dang it we have cooked Ramen noodles so...  I think we'll be just fine on the cooking department. Have I mentioned that my husband is a mighty cook? Some of my favorites  -he makes some dang good waffles/pancakes and bacon on Sundays, delicious fried rice, fettucini alfredo, and chicken-that boy knows how to cook chicken! He also knows the way to my heart by letting me buy bags of dark chocolate.

This went on to being a really, really runny salsa so we didn't eat it...trial and error, folks.
