A pretty cool opportunity.

At the end of February, Utah State held their annual student body elections. The IDEA of running for office came to me at the end of my freshman year here at USU. The Diversity and Organizations VP then (2 yrs. ago) was awesome and I looked up to her, she didn't know this of course, till just barely last month when we had a nice chat. The DECISION to run was made at the beginning of my sophomore year. After the decision was final, everything I did, everything I was involved in led up to me running for office.
Let me tell you, folks, it was a craaaaaazy busy week. I could not have done it without my family and friends.  Especially my dad, who built my A-frame under an hour. I had so much support that I don't even know where to start thanking people.
The first two days were primaries and the final announcement was made on March 1st. I am in the process of making a video of elections week, but for now, I'll leave you with some pictures (sorry for the iPhone pics). I think the coolest thing about being the 2012-2013 ASUSU Diversity and Organizations VP is my office in the student center. There are some saaaweet perks for being an officer but let's not forget the responsibility I now have and hour long meetings I get to go to. Wowza!
A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped me accomplish this goal. The year hasn't even started and we're already planning so much! It is going to be an unforgettable year :) can't wait and again, thank you!!
This was my "logo" for the week.

Oh hi there! Come on in...

Well, it's finally summer. Actually it's been summer {vacation} for a while now, I just haven't had time to sit down and do a little bloggin'. But alas, here I am. My sister has been bugging me to put up pictures of my cute apartment because yes, I moved out guys. It has been a whole month and a half of learning, becoming independent, meeting new people, being in the middle of Logan summer adventures, going grocery shopping for things I NEED not want...boo, loving and appreciating my family more and more everyday and relying on my Savior.
Logan summers are my absolute fave. I live next to the A-Team house {a bunch of a-teamers are living there this summer} and it's great to just walk on over and party it up. Not to mention I can't remember the last time I put gas in my car!!!
Last but certainly not least, the friends are getting back from their missions one by one. I miss a friend who's out selling for the summer so much. And boy is Logan filled with good looking young men...options, guys!!
Now, let me give ya a tour...it's called Gray Brick #4.
Our room is VERY spacious!
That's it! Come back later and I'll show you who my cute roommates are. Have a lovely day!
