the day i touched gold, real heavy gold.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to volunteer at USU's annual Hispanic Leadership Conference for seniors, juniors and even a few sophomores in high school. A good friend asked if I would be a group leader, and naturally I couldn't pass the opportunity! I love meeting new people so I was stoked. The whole day we were busy walking from workshop to workshop, ate some delicious food, played games and took our students on a campus tour. The keynote speaker this year was Derek Parra! He is an Olympic Speed-skating Champion and the first-ever Mexican American Winter Olympian. Whoa. This man is amazing and his story is very inspiring. I recommend you read about him! He passed around his medals and man alive they are SO COOL!

100th post

Today is lovely. Not only is it Valentine's Day, but this is also the 100th post of my blog! Two years ago I did not see myself having a blog {even though one of my hobbies is blog stalking}... But here I am and here is my blog. I love it. And because it is Valentine's Day, here's a cute video about loooooooove :)
